Functional lab testing cost depends on the panel, collection requirements and the support included with it. The laboratory fee and the cost of a practitioner reviewing the report may be separate. Ask for the full quote before comparing options.
Wildly Primal offers standalone testing as well as testing through eligible programs and memberships. You do not have to choose an ongoing program simply to ask about a test.
Separate the test from the services around it
A quote can include the kit, laboratory analysis, collection or blood-draw arrangements, shipping, a results review and follow-up. Ask which of those are actually included rather than assuming that the word “testing” covers all of them. Optional additions can change the total too.
Write the included items next to each offer you compare. A lower laboratory price may not be a lower total price if you still need a separate appointment to understand the report. Equally, an ongoing membership may be more support than you want for one focused question.
Standalone testing or testing within a program?
Standalone testing can suit someone who wants a particular service without an ongoing coaching commitment. Ask about eligibility, the ordering process and the review arrangement for the panel you have in mind. The available test menu is on our functional labs page.
A program or membership combines a different set of services. It may offer education, check-ins or continued work with the practitioner. Compare that additional support on its own merits. Do not assume that every laboratory fee is included in a monthly membership price; the exact scope belongs in your quote.
Plan for what happens after the report arrives
Ask whether the booking includes a scheduled review, written notes and an opportunity for questions. If follow-up testing is being discussed, find out why, when that decision would be made and what it might add to the cost. Retesting should have a purpose, not simply be part of a preset cycle.
Also ask what happens if the report raises a medical concern. Coaching is not a replacement for assessment by a licensed professional. Knowing how you would be directed back to medical care makes the service clearer before you spend anything.
Insurance and account payments
Wildly Primal does not accept health insurance. Ask for an itemized quote and do not assume that a laboratory charge or coaching session will be reimbursed. If you intend to use an HSA or FSA, check the specific expense with your plan administrator before paying.
The practice cannot promise your eligibility or an insurer’s decision. A payment method being accepted is also not the same as a benefit administrator confirming coverage. Keep the scope of the purchase, the receipt and any required documentation together.

Name the panel you are interested in, if you know it, and whether you want standalone testing or ongoing coaching. Ask for the laboratory fee, any collection or shipping charges, the review fee and the expected next steps. If you already have results, say so before ordering again.

- Does Wildly Primal accept insurance?

- Why is there no single price for every test?
- Different panels and support arrangements involve different services. A written quote for the specific panel is more useful than a general price that leaves out required items.
